Less than 2 hours drive from Adelaide, in the historic, picturesque mining town of Burra, you will find St Just Cafe & Store at 5 Commercial St in the heart of the town.

 

We are just ordinary people who love to treat people the way we like to be treated when we go out somewhere or when we are travelling.

 

We love what we do and strive to be the best at what we do. Customers are very important to us. St Just Cafe & Store both present a warm and welcoming feel upon entry, and is the perfect place to meet and catch up with friends and family.

 

Using produce sourced from as close to home as possible, St Just Cafe provides nutritious, freshly-made, reasonably priced food and old fashioned service. St Just Store connected through the original heritage archway retails a colourful range of home, garden, children, and 'mens shed' wares both antique and new - so very country rustic.

 

Our happy and friendly staff have been selected for their commitment to our customers. We are passionate to make our customers happy by providing great food, exceptional coffee, a great retailing experience, and big smiles. Striking a chord with Burra locals and visitors to our region and the perfect stop for a great breakfast or lunch experience, is St Just Cafe. Come in and experience good food, freshly brewed roasted coffee and exceptional customer service in relaxed surroundings. 

 

Our style here is comfort food, done well and fresh. Even if you are busy and on the go, you can come here and feel like you're eating a homemade meal, created with care.

 

 Our menu includes a mix of traditional and modern cafe dishes, and specialty cakes, and we're sure you'll find something delicious to try. We have a great selection of focaccias and baguettes - choose from the menu or create your own. We also serve delicate quiches and filos which you can have on their own as a light lunch or with a choice of salads. Or perhaps you could be tempted to select from our extensive range of gourmet pies and pasties, dine-in or take-away.

 

And there is so much more. For breakfast and lunch, we also have a specials board that is always changing and based on the season. Our home-made soup selections are delicious, especially on those cold Burra days.

Our store is open 7 days a week, 8:30 to 4pm, selling a colourful range of wares, both old and new. Here you will find unique and quirky antique bric and brac and furniture big and small sourced locally and afar, and a large display cabinet which is forever changing.

 

We have soft furnishings in store with beautiful throw rugs and groovy cushions, with something for everyone.

There are new homewares for your home including kitchen crockery, candles, lamps, baskets and much much more. And gardeners will delight in the gardening section with potplants and palms both real and artificial, clay pots, and garden decor, some new, some very rustic.

 

For the men in your life, there is a large range of old tools and paraphanelia, including cast iron signage and 'mens shed' door bells, hard covered books and car magazines.

 

Whether your a local looking for something for the home or on holiday seeking gifts for friends and family back home, you will be sure to find something here to please.

a little bit of history

The shops have had many uses over their life since they were built in 1882, as you can see in the picture opposite they served as Drews and Crews General Merchants and Universal Providers. Now St Just Cafe & Store are proud to call it their home.
